SLF Is Growing!
Welcome our new Community Outreach Coordinator Sarah Pruden!
Growing up in rural Alaska and Oregon, Sarah developed a love for wild places early on. An avid outdoor enthusiast with a passion for environmental stewardship and wildlife conservation, Sarah has a background in environmental science, biology, and sociology. Focusing on conservation and education, Sarah has been working in these fields in Wyoming since 2018. Sarah brings an excitement and passion for these disciplines to the Sporting Lead-Free team.
Her first connection to lead-free sporting came from the experience of treating a golden eagle in a rehabilitation setting that had suffered injuries due to severe lead poisoning. This experience spurred Sarah to learn more about lead, the effects of its presence in our environment, and what we can do to preserve and continue our hunting and angling practices.
She looks forward to conducting outreach and continuing to develop meaningful community relationships on behalf of Sporting Lead-Free throughout Wyoming. As Sarah transitions into this position, our previous beloved Outreach Coordinator, Hannah Leonard, will remain on our team, transitioning to the position of Sporting Lead-Free Program Director.
Our team welcomes you to reach out to Sarah with regard to programmatic and educational needs.
