Maury Brown Kids Fishing Day

In June, Sporting Lead-Free supplied lead-free jig heads and split shot to the Maury Brown Kids Fishing Day in Horsecreek, Wyoming. Over 300 kids were outfitted with fishing poles and tackle boxes from Bass Pro/Cabela's along with lead-free tackle.

After mastering their casting skills, kids headed to the shore of Maury Brown’s reservoir which was stocked with rainbow trout, lake trout, and brook trout. Kids enjoyed the day with their parents and friends and had the opportunity to meet Game and Fish staff to learn about entomology, fish habitat, invasive species, and how to cook fish.

This was a great event to get kids exposed to the outdoors and provide them with the tools and inspiration to continue fishing!
