2025 Spring Expo Recap

Hunt Expo

This year marked SLF’s third time attending the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo, hosted by the Mule Deer Foundation and Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife. This event has always been an incredible opportunity to connect with hunters and anglers from across the country, and 2025 was no exception.

We were fortunate to secure a prime corner booth, which allowed us to showcase multiple ballistics gel displays—an absolute crowd favorite. Our muzzle cover giveaway was also a big hit, drawing lots of interest from attendees. We even got to meet the famous Ron Spomer who was excited to stop by our booth and check out our ballistics and epoxy cast displays.

With over 1,300 conversations throughout the weekend, we set a new record for event impressions! If you’re in the West and looking for a weekend packed with industry leaders, conservation success stories, and expert hunting strategy sessions, be sure to check out the Expo in 2026. We’ll be there—see you then!

Pheasant Fest

This year marked our third time attending the National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic, hosted by Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. This event holds a special place in our hearts—not only do we get to talk about bird hunting, but we also connect with an incredible community of bird dog enthusiasts!

Thanks to the support of a generous donor, the team was able to travel to Kansas City, MO to host a booth. We had the opportunity to engage with over 550 individuals over the weekend. One of the biggest takeaways from this year’s event was how many attendees were unaware of the variety of lead-free alternatives available for upland and waterfowl hunting. This made for a fantastic opportunity to continue educating the public on these great options.

Our giveaway item—co-branded gun and choke cleaning cloths in partnership with our Conservation Partner, Boss Shotshells—was a hit. Additionally, we introduced a new pellet density display alongside our popular shotshell ballistics gels. This hands-on feature allowed visitors to compare tubes filled with lead, steel, bismuth, and tungsten, letting them feel the weight differences and see the recommended shot sizes for transitioning away from lead.

We can’t wait to connect with even more upland hunters and bird dog enthusiasts next year in Minneapolis. See you there!

Mule Deer Days

SLF Found, Bryan attended the 3rd Annual Mule Deer Days in Rock Springs, WY, hosted by our conservation partner, Muley Fanatic Foundation. During the three day event, Bryan connected with many industry leaders, hunters, and wildlife professionals. Some highlights included seeing SLF Ambassadors in-person, meeting previous attendees who made the switch after learning about SLF last year, and even one of the Put the U in Hunt participants, Brock, who shared his hunting story using lead-free ammunition generously supplied by our conservation partner ICC Ammunition. Check out Brock’s full hunt story here.

This event is a great way to connect with Wyoming’s mule deer and conservation enthusiasts. Be sure to check out the work that Muley Fanatic Foundation supports and see if there is a local chapter near you!
